Ce village est un ancien castelnau. Pour le distinguer des autres « Larroque », a été accolé le nom du Saint Patron de l’église, Saint-Sernin, évêque de Toulouse martyr au IIIe ou IVe siècle. C’est seulement en 1851 que Larroque-Saint-Sernin devient commune.
L’église disparue à la révolution est reconstruite en 1812 et rénovée en 1994. Les vitraux ont été réalisés en 1999 et 2002. Un peintre lectourois Lasserau a peint les décors intérieurs au XIXe siècle.
Un lavoir et une fontaine sont en cours de restauration.
This village is a former « castelnau ». In order to distinguish it from the other villages that are named “Larroque” the name of the Church Patron Saint was attached, Saint Sernin, the bishop of Toulouse martyr in the IIIrd or IVth century.It was only in 1851 that Larroque Saint-Sernin became a district.
The church disappeared during the revolution and was rebuilt in 1812 and renovated in 1994. The stained-glass windows were made in 1999 and in 2002.
A painter from the village of Lectoure, painted the internal decorations in the XIXth century. A wash house and a fountain are being restored.
